1798-99: From "The Research of Nina Howlett Frakes"; "Cornelious ConradFrakes born, in Kentucky, the son of John Frakes born 1750 and his wife,Elizabeth." (Editors note: Conrad married, first, Rachel Fowler in 1837,following her death he married Rachel's sister-in-law, Elizabeth Fowler, in1849. Conrad died after the 1880 census, probably in Harrison County, Indiana.)
This is in doc. sent to me by Wm. Shepard. There is much confusion about the Frakes, as illustrated by this note

1861 date is according to G. W. Davis, "John Grow of Ipswich: John Groo (Grow) of Oxford" p. 198. The headstone gives his death year as 1859 but it was apparently erected years later and could be in error | Blood, Marble Burgess (P171)

3 Mar 1864 Mary A. Studivant marries James L. Guernsey in Clark Co. A message board says that she married two or three times after Robert died. This is likely the first of those subsequent marriages. I can't find this couple in 1870 though. Her headstone says Mariam Kirk Stutesman. | Sturdevant, Mariam (P296)

a message received 3/17/2010:
I had a grandaunt, James Mamie Markle, who was married to an Alden T. Blood in 1897 in Baker County, Oregon. They had sons Emmett and Asa Leonard before divorcing after about ten years. I am wondering if your Alden is "ours"? Ours was born in 1864 inCalifornia ... we don't know what happened to him after the divorce. Would appreciate any information you may have ...
This was proven to be true.
Another message told me that he was in Walla Walla prison for fraud, but it's not clear if he died there. | Blood, Alden Thomas (P169)
