Charles Bryant Burgess 1942-2006
CHARLES BRYANT "SMOKEY' BURGESS, age 64, KY Hwy 1032, Berry, died Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. Born in Hamilton County, Ohio, January 7, 1942, he was a farmer and a member of Berry Baptist Church. Mr. Burgess was a former member of the Volunteer Fireman Northern Harrison Rural Fire Department and Berry Lions Club and was a crop adjuster for RCIS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. and Mary Casey Burgess and a son, Bryant K. Burgess.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Ann Burgess and two half brothers, Ronnie Earle of Cynthiana and Kenny Earle of Berry.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday. Burial will be in Pythian Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass or by Smokey's request, "Buy a child a fishing pole and take them fishing".
